Like so many self-employed out there I have had to rethink how I do business. Some of us are lucky enough to have other avenues to pursue and are managing to keep things afloat. With the Wedding and Event community being one of the hardest hit during all this my heart goes out to everyone involved. Most will certainly work themselves to a frenzy during the peak seasons so we can survive the winter months where things naturally slow down.

With more restrictions now being reimposed comes the most challenging time of all.

Weddings are what I do and love but until things start to finally get back to normal, I will be concentrating my skills and expertise on my more commercial work which I’ve been doing for many years along side my Wedding photography.

I have been extremely fortunate to have worked on all kinds of assignments, from taking portraits of Eric Clapton, shooting mega yachts in the Caribbean to taking product shots for local based companies. Some of course sound more glamorous than others but as long as I am using my creative eye I couldn’t be more happy. I’ve recently been working with some of the most amazing Chefs at places like The Greenbank and The Alverton Hotel where I have developed another skill and passion for food photography.

I am calling on all my friends and fellow colleagues who are just interested or who are themselves business owners who think they might need my skills to showcase their passions to give me shout.

Over the next coming months I will be sharing some my favourite work here on my blog but also on my new IG account @thehungrysnapper

Please give me a follow and share this journey with me.

Thank you for taking the time to read this and please support each other during these bizarre times! and most of all stay positive!!!

Much love NickyB
